A Recent Sandwich

Anchovies and jammy eggs.

I found this recipe for Bagna Cauda Toasts with Radicchio, Egg, and Avocado on Food 52 when researching recipes for the $22 anchovies I had accidentally purchased. I had to make some changes to the original recipe because when I went to slice into the avocados that were on the counter, I was sad to discover that they were no longer edible. I did have radicchio and endive, which I bulked up with some iceberg lettuce from a recent World of Picnics shoot, plus some thinly sliced radish and parmesan. Every time I make jammy eggs, I have to google how long to cook them. This reached jammy perfection at six and a half minutes.
